" At last, a local restaurant offering real gastronomy - first class food, unpretentiously priced and served, and impeccably cooked. My family and I had Sunday lunch - a total departure from the usual trotted-out Sunday fayre which is all too hard to escape. This is serious food for food lovers and heaven for meat eaters - the beef shoulder was meltingly succulent and the texture of the lamb was moist and perfectly tender. The sea bass and corn-fed chicken also scored highly as did the vegetable accompaniments, starters and desserts."
